I’m glad to have men on the side of women’s choice to live the life that they feel is best for them. I doubt if any of these men would like to be treated like they treat women; as basically second class citizens whose choices they would like to limit, or at least hold any who don’t make the choice to be stay at home mothers and housewives. It doesn’t feel good to be reduced to an almost child like status as opposed to men who can their position in society is to rule over women as God rules over the church. The Bible doesn’t even come close to equality of opportunity for the sexes. In the Bible women are literally the property of their father and then their husband. That type of backward misogynistic thinking is a good reason to throw out the Abrahamic religions, because as long as the Bible is seen as a Good book, there’s always a chance that because it’s biblical that rights can be taken away from groups people don’t like or feel superior to. I ever imagined the US would be where are today, with women’s bodily autonomy being taken away and people in politics who want to go much further taking even a women’s right to vote.
